They have a large variety of options as well as sizes. I recently bought my wedding gown there and couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. My wedding is August 31, 2024, and I was able to find a bridal gown at Discount Bridal on July 20. At Discount Bridal, I did not have to order 4 to 6 months in advance. I was worried my options would be extremely limited, as it’s never recommended to wait this close to your wedding date to find the dress. However, this was not the case at Discount Bridal. Rebecca hand-picks everything from boutiques and other shops in many different states and brings them back to her shops in Newport, VT. Everything you purchase there is “as is,” meaning these are not dresses that you’d order ahead of time. This is ideal if, for whatever reason, you have to wait closer to your wedding date to purchase a dress, as I did. (Although I still wouldn’t recommend choosing so close to your wedding date, lol)

Rebecca went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and excited. She is working hard on her business, and it shows! Despite the fact that she is just starting up this separate store, the entire aesthetic of the bridal suite was absolutely gorgeous and truly made me feel like a bride. There is a separate area to change for the bride with mirrors for a 360 view of yourself in a gown and a waiting area for the bride’s entourage. Her prices are affordable, and her taste is impeccable! You will not break your wallet choosing a gown from Discount Bridal.

There is a $25 appointment fee which holds your spot and covers your appointment. After seeing all the hard work Rebecca spent hand-picking gowns for me to try on, I can understand why she has that fee. She spent all night going through her stock of bridal gowns and dresses to find a variety of options that fit my budget and style. Should someone cancel an appointment and waste that time, the $25 ensures she is paid for her time, which she could’ve used for other customers. The brief questionnaire she sent me gave her a guide to help her navigate budget and style, utilizing my appointment time rather than getting lost in a sea of gowns.

The highlight of my visit was that she truly respected my budget and didn’t try to force me into gowns that were over my budget that I’d fall in love with. In fact, most of the gowns she picked were under my budget and all my style! One of them that became a dress among my top 3 was as low as $279. You can’t beat those prices!

She also had a large array of men’s suit sizes that’d work for anyone at prices as low as $100 in the men’s section of Rad Rags.

Rebecca has amazing customer service skills! She was friendly, kind, and helped my introverted self come out of my shell during my appointment. She made me feel comfortable, and I enjoyed working with her. She was extremely patient and gave me time to think over my options because it became hard to pick just one gown as she had so many beautiful gowns!
